Equine Therapy is a rather new industry. We know that horses heal people, but the specific methods have just begun to surface over the past decade.
When founding Janice Faye's Ranch, the program was modeled after Corral Riding Academy's, one of the first programs of this type in the country. Our understanding of the most appropriate Equine-Assisted Therapy is through the teachings of Buck Brannaman and Natural Lifemanship. The principles we learn in teaching the horses transfers over to people. At Janice Faye's Ranch , the program is about human relationships with others and ourselves. It's about learning how to control ourselves. Does what we're doing match what we're saying? We all have experienced or may be experiencing some type of trauma in our lives, whether it be the loss of a loved one, a broken relationship, cancer, abuse, neglect or poverty. Here at Janice Faye's Ranch, through the experience of connecting deeply with ourselves and others via extraordinary relationships with horses, God opens hearts, heals old wounds and brings hope into our lives. Won't you join us as a participant or volunteer?
